Pieces of London’s famous 130-ton “fatberg” are on display at a museum
A 130-ton ball of fat, baby wipes, and other congealed waste was a media sensation late last year when it was discovered blocking a sewage pipe in the East End of London. The “fatberg,” made up of condoms, tampons, wipes, and cooking oil, weighed as much as 11 double-decker buses. It took nine weeks to remove, and it became something of a cultural icon.
