BAD HOMBURG, Germany (AP) — BAD HOMBURG, Germany (AP) — Fresenius Medical Care AG (FMS) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $91.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Bad Homburg, Germany-based company said it had profit of 16 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 31 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 37 cents per share.

The dialysis services provider posted revenue of $5.37 billion in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.42 billion.
