Telefonica stays on track for year-end targets with growth outside Europe
Spain’s largest telecommunications company reported third-quarter profits amid a debt-cutting drive. Growth in Latin America offset poor sales at home in Europe. Telefonica said it expected to meet year-end targets and pledged to pay a dividend in 2013 after cutting this year’s payout as part of its debt-reducation strategy.
