Nobel laureate and Columbia University economics professor Joseph Stiglitz ticks off a number of reasons why non-US citizens worldwide look wary of a potential Romney administration. “American ‘exceptionalism’ may sell well at home, but it does poorly abroad,” he writes. The former chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Clinton adds that Romney’s stances on financial regulation, climate change and trade — among others — should give the world pause.
